We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee the culinary operations at our restaurant in Marlton, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, a passion for high-quality food, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and consistency, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Kitchen Operations Management : Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all food preparation, cooking, and plating meet quality standards and are executed efficiently.
- Staff Supervision & Training : Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. Ensure proper training on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
- Food Quality & Consistency : Ensure that all dishes are prepared to specification, consistently meet taste and presentation standards, and are served promptly. Address any issues with food quality or presentation immediately.
- Inventory & Ordering : Manage inventory levels, place orders, and track deliveries to ensure the kitchen is stocked with high-quality ingredients while minimizing waste. Work with vendors to maintain cost-effective inventory practices.
- Cost Control : Monitor food costs, track waste, and implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality food. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure efficient use of ingredients.
- Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure all kitchen operations comply with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards in both kitchen and storage areas.
- Team Scheduling : Create and manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
- Collaboration with Front-of-House : Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth communication, especially during high-volume periods, to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Operational Efficiency : Identify and implement improvements to kitchen workflows to enhance speed, quality, and overall operational performance. Address any operational issues promptly.
- Training & Development : Continuously improve the skills and performance of kitchen staff through regular feedback, training sessions, and mentoring to maintain a high-performing kitchen team.
