Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager – Fine Dining located in West Bloomfield, MI. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including floor management, guest service, reservations, and coordination with the culinary team to ensure a consistent fine dining experience. Responsibilities include leading, training, and scheduling front-of-house team members; monitoring service standards; and resolving guest concerns in a professional, guest-centric manner. Must have extensive experience in fine-dining, steps of service, wine and spirits intelligence, and beautifully manage OpenTable. Qualifications
- Leadership and operations: Demonstrated experience managing a fine dining or upscale restaurant, including staff supervision, scheduling, and day-to-day floor operations.
- Guest service and hospitality: Strong commitment to guest satisfaction, with the ability to anticipate needs, handle escalations, and maintain a refined, professional service environment.
- Financial and business acumen: Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze P&L statements, control costs, and drive revenue while maintaining quality standards.
- Team development and culture: Skills in coaching, training, performance feedback, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative workplace that supports retention and growth.
- Compliance and safety: Knowledge of health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations, with a track record of maintaining a safe, compliant operation.
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, effective conflict resolution, and the ability to collaborate with culinary, bar, and corporate partners.
- Experience and education: Prior fine dining general management or multi-unit management experience strongly preferred; independent AND corporate experience preferred.
