YOUR DUTIES
- Serve as the main point of contact for air & sea import shipments
- Utilize discretion and personal judgement to ship/accept goods using the most efficient and cost effective route to increase shipment margins
- Oversee vendors and suppliers
- Handle rate negotiations with airlines, agents and local vendors
- Proactively track and trace, check cargo availability, monitor clearance and delivery of cargo within free storage/ holding times
- Enforce and ensure compliance with all USA customs and other governing bodies
- Register and confirm all shipments are in the system in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage invoicing and collection freight, agency and disbursements from clients
- Resolve accounting issues related to forwarding costs/payments, overseas invoicing, free domicile etc.
- This position may require weekend rotations

YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree or certification is preferred
- Knowledge of and working experience of freight forwarding procedures & regulations
- Knowledge of related computer applications (Excel, Cargowise, SAP)
- Preferred 7 years of industry related experience
- Strong customer service background
- Ability to handle complex problems during critical times
- Work well under pressure and ability to multitask
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
