Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of maintenance, projects, and upkeep of yard operations.
Principal Duties and Functions
- Control, coordinate, manage and oversee all aspects of maintenance in the facility.
- Direct and manage all maintenance personnel at the facility.
- Direct and oversee supplier communication, analysis and requirements.
- Direct and oversee maintenance production operations.
- Overseeing and participating in the continuous updating and modification of plant procedures, standards (i.e. Industrial Standards, Environmental Standards, OSHA Standards, D.O.T. Standards, ISO Standards, etc.), processes, and policies.
- Direct and monitor plant paperwork completion, accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Direct and monitor procedures for maintenance procedures and standards.
- Direct and monitor maintenance communication.
- Ensure the temporary replacement of maintenance personnel during vacations, sick leave, and time off.
- Ensure the continuous improvement of maintenance facility processes.
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
Requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises maintenance, maintenance tech and maintenance tech II.
- Drives, guides, and influences the day-to day processes for a single facility or group of facilities.
- Manages overall workflow and expectations for the group.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Position Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or foundry industrial maintenance preferred
- 1-3 years of previous management or supervisory experience preferred
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)
- Ability to communicate well with employees, outside contractors, drivers, suppliers, customers, vendors, and/or managers.
- Mechanical aptitude, equipment familiarization, and general math are helpful.
- Flexible to work different jobs and shifts as needed, overtime as required.
Physical Demands
- Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment that exposes employee to weather conditions that may include extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid, and noise level ranges are usually moderate with occasionally loud.
- While performing duties employee will work near open flames, moving machinery and equipment, moving mechanical parts; and potential exposure to airborne particles.
Salary : $33 - $39
