Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Operate floor care equipment including buffers and polishers to maintain high-quality flooring finishes
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building operations
- Support residential painting projects by preparing surfaces and assisting with minor touch-ups when required
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored; notify management of supply needs or equipment issues
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with knowledge of commercial and industrial cleaning techniques
- Skilled in floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing to preserve flooring integrity
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and upkeep of cleaning equipment
- Ability to operate various cleaning tools and machinery safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance needs promptly
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
