Reports to: Assistant Facilities Manager
Wage: $15.00 per hour
Position Summary: Using the library vehicles, the driver, following a specified route, performs the daily delivery of materials and supplies to each GCPL maintained facility.

- Driving and making deliveries to the libraries.
- Pack books and other materials for distribution.
- Distribute supplies within Administrative Center.
- Vehicle inspection.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
- Good verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to carry out assigned route on time.
- Ability to drive and maneuver GCPL vehicles.
- Willingness and adaptability to work in a challenging work environment.
- Safely observe all PERRP procedures.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license is required to operate library-owned vehicles and an acceptable driving record must be maintained at all times.
- Successful completion of a background and MVR checks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, stretch, walk, crawl, and/or kneel in order to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
- Ability to maneuver in and out of the back of a cargo vehicle.
- Ability to operate objects, tools, or controls - including computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Competence in completing tasks that involve reading or visual inspection, with or without visual aids.
