What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Team Member position at Gear Up Sports Inc?
Position Summary: Gear Up is seeking production team members who are eager to learn and work in a collaborative environment to meet production goals while adhering to high quality standards. Team members will be cross-trained in multiple facets of the production process.
Primary roles include:
- Pre-Production/Filtering – Sorting and picking artwork (logos, numbers, etc.), verifying that art and garment SKUs match order paperwork
- Pressing – Interpreting order paperwork. Positioning art, names, and numbers on garments. Operating textile heat presses
- QC/Shipping – Verifying that finished product matches customer orders, packaging and preparing orders for shipment and interacting with our shipping software
Available Shifts:
- Day: 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Some flexibility around start/end times depending on the role
- Overtime will be required during peak production seasons
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret sales orders and other written instructions
- Verbal communication skills to facilitate effective and efficient work production throughput
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Energetic and motivated
- Ability to learn and use computer systems to input and verify information
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience using Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, etc.) and MRP systems a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend and lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb OSHA approved rolling ladders
