  • Diagnose PLC, HMI, electrical, I/O, networking, and controls issues during implementation and production support.
  • Support industrial control networks including Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and Safety I/O.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to identify equipment and controls issues.
  • Work closely with customer representatives, mechanical engineers, project teams, and other engineering resources to resolve issues and keep the project moving.
  • Maintain controls documentation, I/O information, and PLC program backups.
  • Provide technical support to plant maintenance and engineering personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of controls engineering or PLC programming experience within automotive manufacturing.

  • Working experience with Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000.
  • Experience developing or troubleshooting FactoryTalk View HMIs.
  • Hands-on commissioning, startup, integration, or production-support experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across controls, electrical, software, and plant-floor systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with customer personnel and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with General Motors GCCS-2 / GCCH-1 standards or related GM controls training/certification.
  • FANUC robot programming or integration experience.
  • Siemens PLC and HMI experience, including TIA Portal / Step 7.
  • Experience with Cognex, Keyence, or other machine vision systems.
