Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Fabricate stainless steel components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
  • Perform polishing operations on fabricated parts to achieve required surface finishes and cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare, clean, and inspect parts prior to and following the electropolishing process.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, polishers, saws, and other hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Verify dimensions and surface finishes using measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques.
  • Ensure all products meet quality, sanitary, and customer specifications.
  • Maintain proper chemical handling and safety procedures associated with electropolishing operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and report equipment issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with team members, quality personnel, and supervisors to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and product quality.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in metal fabrication, stainless steel finishing, or polishing preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $23 - $26 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
