Role Summary/Purpose


The ESG Initiatives Program Manager will report into the Executive Human Rights and ESG Leader for GE Vernova. The ESG Initiatives Program Manager will be responsible for helping execute and operationalize GE Vernova’s emerging ESG initiatives and programs in coordination and collaboration with the Sustainability team. As needed, this role will also support human rights compliance programs across the GEV.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Pursue, track, and recommend approach to emerging ESG initiatives such as product stewardship, circularity, and biodiversity, among others. Implement operational rigor and drive accountability with the business units for new ESG program to enable success.

  • Help build on and further develop the corporate product stewardship, circularity, and biodiversity strategies to drive consistency in program and metrics through the GE Vernova businesses.

  • Drive a consistent program for GE Vernova businesses as it relates to product stewardship.

  • Stay abreast of new regulations and developments as it relates to human rights, sustainability, and ESG.

  • Work closely with the Sustainability Compliance and Operations team for project execution, regulatory reporting, and external engagements and partnerships.

  • Support the Global Human Rights & ESG Program Leader in simplifying and driving consistency across the businesses in their human rights and ESG programs.

  • Support business-managed Conflict Minerals program through centralized due diligence protocols and reporting line with country/region regulations.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related subject area, or equivalent experience/ knowledge

  • Full time (40 hours/week) commitment

  • Ability to work well with others

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience at a large law firm and/or in-house working on human rights, supply chain, sustainability, and/or ESG compliance.

  • Possess independent analytical skills

  • Ability to analyze data and conduct data assessments

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Self-starter and strong work ethic

  • Preferred candidates also will possess international experience, foreign language skills, and an interest in compliance, ethics, and sustainability

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Ability to deal effectively with people and work in diverse teams

  • Ability to set and meet multiple priorities, initiatives and to take on new challenges

If contracted in the United States:

The salary range for this position is 93,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% variable incentive bonus. Available health and welfare benefits include healthcare, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage; savings account options (such as a Health Care Flexible Savings Account, Health Reimbursement Account, Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account, and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account); and an employee assistance program.
