Job Description Summary
Manage the daily operations of the Metal Fabrication Processes across the Shreveport facility according to defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety to ensure reliability and consistency in the metal fab production area.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the production line and front-line manufacturing employees within allocated departments
- Responsible for strategic departmental operations planning/execution
- Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety
- Provide direction in resource allocation, production issues resolution, operator training/deployment/coordination
- Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and feedback to assigned areas hourly population
- Enforces/implement best practices & culture in proper housekeeping, disciplines and standard work
- Drive cycle/lead time improvements and implement cost control/reduction strategies
- Bachelors Degree required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing Operations Desired with an emphasis in Metal Fabrication
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
