Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead obsolescence management initiatives to ensure hardware remains current, reliable, and aligned with customer needs.
- Provide technical support for fielded systems and new product introduction (NPI) applications, including certification and entry into service activities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, fluid, and controls engineers, to drive project success.
- Oversee hardware development throughout the design lifecycle, from initial concept through ground and flight testing, with a focus on technology and manufacturing readiness.
- Define and guide supplier design efforts, ensuring transparency and alignment with project requirements.
- Participate actively in design reviews, both internally and with suppliers, to ensure quality and compliance.
- Support engineering team members to maintain adherence to project plans and timelines.
- Work within cross-functional teams, including design engineering, quality engineering, supply chain, and program leadership, to ensure components and systems meet application requirements.
- Communicate technical and manufacturing readiness plans and provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years engineering experience) minimum of 3 years engineering experience
- Strong technical expertise in Controls hardware, with a proven ability to apply knowledge effectively
- Eagerness to learn and grow, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to challenges
