Job Summary:
The GDI/Ainsworth family is looking for a leader to bring your expertise and lead facilities operations including technicians in the delivery of Integrated Facilities Management services (IFS&M).
You will be responsible for successfully coordinating, directing and delivering all operational activities and outcomes for our client. You will establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship with our team members and partners, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Interfacing with customers, ensuring total contract compliance with all criteria and reaching all performance specifications including qualitative cost savings and qualitative customer service specifications.
- Oversee all facilities, property, and project management services required by our partnership.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and requirements (e.g. AHJ, GDI/Ainsworth, client) by working with all levels of the organization to ensure compliance with safety standards/codes and employee protection in all that we do.
- Actively co-lead and be accountable for portfolio event/incident investigations (e.g. RCCA) & communicate findings and ensure closure of action items within assigned portfolio.
- Provide support and assistance, either directly or through team members, to ensure organizational outcomes are met within assigned portfolio and accounts.
- Champion continuous improvement for both site/contract and portfolio level activities while enabling the team to execute by working smarter-not harder.
- Facilitate, actively engage in and/or lead solutioning, mobilization and transition activities to support the Integrated Facilities Services & Maintenance growth journey.
- Facilitate, collaborate, coach and embody consistency within systems, process, and tools
- Evaluate current processes and service delivery models at our sites and collaboratively develop gap analyses and service delivery recommendations and solutions and facilitate their alignment and execution.
- Supports monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and trending of performance measures identified on the Quality Control Plan.
- Actively participates and collaborates with the business development team in the new business development process (e.g. RFP response, costing and obtaining internal approvals; determination of partnership fit).
- Maintain and complete all relevant documentation to comply with regulations for IFS&M organization.
- If applicable, be an active participant of the collective bargaining process and a member of the negotiation team collaborating with HR and IFS&M leadership on collective bargaining resolutions in the day-to-day business.
- Collaborates and works hand in hand with all shared resources (e.g. Finance, HR & Recruitment, Payroll, Legal, IT) within IFS&M and the enterprise.
- You will be a facilitator to work with the enterprise on broader business opportunities by establishing your network with enterprise business leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5 years direct IFM Leadership (Facilities Manager or Similar Leadership Position) or bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or management with 5 (five) years of experience in direct Operational Leadership.
- Formal Continuous Improvement (e.g. Lean 6σ) leadership experience.
- Above average oral and written communication skills as this role must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use those skills in conducting incident/event fact-finding and risk mitigation.
- Ability to produce and communicate detailed reports.
- Attention to detail and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines and timelines.
- Experience with CMMS, Smartsheet, MS Office Suite, MS Project, Power BI or related applications, CRM applications and other applicable software for responsibilities.
- Fluently Bilingual (English/Spanish/French) is an asset in this role.
