The role involves managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise O365 services within a federal healthcare environment. The incumbent will lead efforts to ensure high availability, security compliance, and effective communication regarding O365 features and updates, supporting the organization’s strategic IT objectives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business to support organizational operations.
- Administer Office 365 tenant environment by managing users, groups, licenses, and security and compliance settings.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of Microsoft 365 Copilot, including pilot planning, prerequisites, and broader rollout strategies.
- Oversee the implementation of Microsoft Purview tools for data governance, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, and eDiscovery processes.
- Manage identity and access security through Azure Active Directory, integrating Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), directory synchronization, and conditional access policies.
- Enforce security best practices across Office 365 environments, including data encryption, advanced threat protection, and information rights management.
- Develop and execute PowerShell scripts and utilize Microsoft Graph API to automate administrative tasks, streamline operations, and manage Office 365 resources.
- Support app developers and end users with Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents to enhance organizational productivity.
- Establish governance frameworks, develop standard operating procedures, and maintain technical documentation for ongoing support and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Microsoft Intune for securing and managing mobile devices and applications.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 4 years with a Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Extensive experience with identity management, Azure Active Directory, SSO, MFA, directory synchronization, and conditional access policies.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft security and compliance features such as DLP, IRM, eDiscovery, and threat protection solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and working with Microsoft Graph API for automation and data management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune for device management and security.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across multiple teams.
- This position is subject to national security requirements under U.S. law. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
