Seeking a Network Installer to support mission-critical aviation network infrastructure. The role involves maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting enterprise networking systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This position offers long-term engagement with a focus on supporting FAA operations within a regional geographic area.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the uptime, performance, and security of FAA network infrastructure
- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Support SD-WAN solutions across distributed environments
- Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling, including single-mode and multi-mode fibers
- Perform fiber testing using OTDR and certification tools
- Monitor systems daily, analyze logs, and respond to incidents promptly
- Troubleshoot network issues involving fiber, SD-WAN, and IP layers, escalating as necessary
- Support network cutovers, migrations, and failover validation procedures
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and configuration records
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination (Masters 6 , Associates 10 , High School diploma 12 )
- Proven experience supporting and managing enterprise network environments
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment
- Experience with TDM-to-IP migration projects and IP-based networking technologies
- Solid understanding of SD-WAN, fiber optics, and wireless LAN/WAN systems
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and schematics
- Experience with fiber testing tools such as OTDR

Salary : $60 - $65
