The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring uptime and consistent communication across various sites, with weekly travel being an essential part of the role.
Responsibilities
- Deploy network equipment at field locations in accordance with predefined guidelines.
- Ensure successful connectivity and network functionality before and after installation at each site.
- Rack and stack network equipment, manage cable installations including Cat5, Cat6, and Fiber.
- Document all installation issues and maintain records of the same for future reference.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to mitigate risks and report outages immediately.
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and accommodate necessary travel schedules.
- Follow all defined procedures strictly and escalate unresolved issues to higher authorities promptly.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Proven experience in network communications and familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with racking, stacking, and cable installation.
- Technical proficiency with Cisco/Aruba routers, VSAT, and Ubiquiti Radios preferred.
- Experience in UPS installation and support is advantageous.
- Capability to lead projects, organize tasks, and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient with Windows 11, Microsoft Office applications, and general hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Availability for extensive weekly travel for approximately 18 months.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
