Position: Cloud Administrator
Location: Downey, CA
Duration: 1 year Contract

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Administrator to oversee and manage all aspects of one or more multi-cloud IT projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hybrid (on-premise and cloud) environments, particularly with VMware and Microsoft Azure HCI, and will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining solutions that ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
This position involves working under the direction of a Manager or user agency personnel, interacting with mid-level officials, and coordinating with both public and private sector teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of one or more multi-cloud IT projects.
• Work closely with clients or customers to determine appropriate products or services to support application requirements and deliverables.
• Develop, modify, or provide input to project plans.
• Implement Hybrid (On-Premise and Cloud) solutions to meet project objectives.
• Coordinate and integrate hybrid services for seamless performance.
• Manage, lead, or administer project resources efficiently.
• Monitor implementation activities and resources to mitigate risk.
• Implement or maintain quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Solve problems or take corrective actions when issues arise.
• Deliver presentations and briefings on all aspects of the project.
• Participate in phase, milestone, and final solution reviews.
• Identify documentation requirements and procedures.
• Develop and implement deployment schedules and release plans.
• Ensure host and VM provisioning, resource optimization, high availability, and smooth on-premise to cloud migration.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 5 years of hands-on experience managing VMware vSphere environments (on-premise or cloud versions such as AVS), including ESXi hosts and vCenter.
• 5 years of hands-on experience managing Azure HCI/Azure Local environments, including Azure HCI OS (24H2 and later).
• 5 years of experience integrating on-premises infrastructure with Microsoft Azure using services such as Azure Arc and Azure Site Recovery.
• Led and successfully performed 3 migrations from VMware to Azure Stack HCI and hybrid Azure setups, ensuring secure, efficient, and low-downtime transitions.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis).
• Current certifications in one or more of the following technologies (required, may not be substituted with experience):
  1. Azure Local Solutions Architect Expert
  2. VMware Cloud Professional

Work Schedule:

• Days: Tuesday to Saturday
• Days Off: Sunday and Monday
• Hours: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• May require additional hours; candidates will be notified 24 hours in advance if extended work is needed.
