Role: Customer Solutions Engineers
Location: San Francisco, California
Our client is a fast-growing construction fintech AI startup building API and SDK infrastructure for the B2B software ecosystem. They are seeking Customer Solutions Engineers to own the full customer journey — from technical sales demos through hands-on implementation and long-term success.
This is a unique opportunity to become a deep product expert, build long-term enterprise relationships, and join a team scaling aggressively — reporting directly to the co-founder and CEO.
What You'll Do
Customer Discovery
- Lead discovery calls and product demos with prospects, acting as the technical expert
- Answer technical questions and position the product in the context of customer systems
- Qualify fit, identify blockers, and advise on implementation details
- Create and maintain customer-facing collateral and demo materials
Customer Onboarding
- Own customer onboardings end-to-end from sales handoff through full implementation
- Serve as the primary point of contact, configuring the product to meet each customer's specific needs
- Train customers on integration, common actions, and edge case handling
- Build strong relationships, identify churn risks, and surface upsell opportunities
Project Management
- Manage 30 concurrent implementations with detailed plans, timelines, and milestones
- Troubleshoot issues with product and engineering teams
- Proactively escalate implementation risks and work with cofounders to resolve them
- Translate customer feedback into product roadmap input
Process Improvement
- Build tooling, templates, and automation to scale onboarding across hundreds of customers
- Create customer education materials to reduce manual effort
- Define and own internal tracking mechanisms and KPIs for onboarding timelines
Key Requirements
- 1–5 years in a customer-facing role — consulting (McKinsey, PwC, Deloitte, Accenture) or customer success, implementation, ERP integrations, or solutions engineering at a VC-backed startup
- 1 year at a VC-backed startup, top consulting firm, or otherwise elite company
- Strong project management skills — comfortable managing 30 implementations simultaneously
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot methodically or strong aptitude to learn technical concepts
- Hands-on B2B SaaS implementation experience preferred
- Experience demoing SaaS software to prospects preferred
- Familiarity with construction industry a plus
- Accounting concepts experience a plus
- Technical or CS degree a strong plus
- Top 30 Canada undergraduate school a strong plus
- Strong communication, people skills, and process orientation
