Our work depends on an Infoblox Systems Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. As an Infoblox Systems Engineer supporting the Government, you will be trusted to provide Enterprise Infoblox DDI and related services to the Government Agency’s internal/external partners and clients with a focus on stability and performance. In this role, a typical day may include: Investigating and diagnosing incidents and problems relating to DDI (Infoblox DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and related services Ensuring the platforms and services are managed and maintained Helping identify and manage risks within the DDI platform Working with the Government lead and other service areas’ Architecture, Engineering & Operations leads and technical specialists, as well as professional services staff from vendors to implement the plan to deliver a strategic DDI platform and migrate all in-scope services from existing platforms Ensuring that system improvements and changes are implemented and monitoring effects of modifications Defining the capacity and performance standards, metrics and thresholds and helping build the instrumentation to effectively manage the environment WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA , or CCNA Security Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline 8 years’ experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience Extensive and recent experience of DNS in a large enterprise (Configuration and Management) Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of technology towers i.e.: Storage, Virtualization, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration and Disaster Recovery In-depth knowledge of DNS, NTP, IPAM, BIND, and DHCP Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, and the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root cause including remediation and detection Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of technology towers i.e.: Storage, Virtualization, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration and Disaster Recovery Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met Participate in change and incident management Hands on experience with Python and APIs Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision Anticipating potential problems and acting to minimize the impact they may have on the project or unit Ability to collaborate with different technology towers to achieve common goals Ability to manage multiple stands of work simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required certifications: Infoblox NIOS DDI Operator (INO) Infoblox NIOS DDI Administrator (INA) GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. ● Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities ● Support: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals ● Rewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time off ● Community: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace OWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY Explore an enterprise IT career at GDIT and you’ll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your desire to drive operations forward. The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
