Food Service Worker

FOOD SERVICE WORKER

DAY SHIFT: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

PART TIME OR FULL TIME OPPORTUNITIES. MUST BE AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS.

Summary: Prepares, presents, and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prep work including, washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding vegetables and fruits along with weighing and measuring designated ingredients.

· Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator while maintaining all safety standards.

· Properly stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures.

· Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.

· Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.

· Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.

· Interacts with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, and inventory and cash control procedures.

· Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.

· Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous food service or institutional cooking experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow instructions and standardized recipes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a structured, secure environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Work Environment

• Secure correctional facility setting
• Interaction with incarcerated individuals under supervision
• Exposure to kitchen equipment, heat, and noise
• Must comply with all safety, security, and confidentiality requirements

Additional Requirements

• Must pass background check and security clearance
• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality and professional conduct standards
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
