What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator (Associate) position at GCyber?
As the System Administrator, you will:
- Install, administer, and maintain server hardware, virtual environments, operating systems, and enterprise applications, ensuring stability through monitoring, testing, and patch management.
- Manage Active Directory services, including user and group administration, permissions, Group Policy (GPO) configuration, and baseline compliance enforcement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, server, and user issues; collaborate with users to remediate incidents and maintain operational continuity.
- Implement and manage data backups, disaster recovery processes, security patch remediation, and compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
- Use PowerShell to execute routine administrative tasks, perform system maintenance and collect operational data.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security , CCNA – Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- One year of relevant experience in IT systems and server administration (DoD enterprise environment strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Windows servers, including, Active Directory, and GPO.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration functions within Enterprise IT environments
