CDL Bus Operator

GCT Chauffeured Services provides professional ground transportation. Building on the fundamentals of hospitality and privacy, we provide the ideal transportation experience for travelers, vacationers, and executives. The primary focus of each GCT employee is taking the stress of travel away from our clients and providing them with safety and security as we pay attention to every detail, no matter how large or small the job is.

POSITION SUMMARY

It is the primary responsibility of the CDL chauffeur to provide courteous & professional services to our clients.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

1. Provide safe, reliable and punctual transportation to every client, on every trip
   
2. Maintain clean and safe vehicle, fueling and removing trash after trip completion
3. Maintain a clean MVR & Background
4. Maintain an up to date MedCard on you at all times
5. Complete pre-trip & post trip inspections

Communication

1. Communicating with dispatch for all needs
2. Clear and consistent communication

Operations

1. Consistent punctuality
2. Familiar with routes, stops, and timing to ensure smooth trip and in compliance of driver hours
3. Provide services in accordance with training and specifications
4. Complete required daily driver logs in compliance with DOR regulations
5. Operate company use software & apps efficiently

Customer Service

1. Answering riders questions to the best of your ability and directing any concerns to dispatch
2. Friendly disposition , greeting all riders you meet, loading luggage into bus
3. Familiarity with popular locations to provide recommendations to clients when prompted

Integrity

1. Add value to, and assist with, reaching company goals by taking ownership in your position, and assisting with other responsibilities as needed
2. Show integrity and  respect with all clients and coworkers
   
   

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

1. Ability to safely drive a full range of vehicles 
2. Ability to sit for extended periods 
3. Attention to detail 
4. Excellent customer service skills 
5. Geographical knowledge of the Charleston and surrounding areas, attractions, and history
6. Adequate proficiency in English
7. Basic computer skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

1. Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Experience:  1-3 years related experience preferred
3. Certification/Licensure:  Valid driver’s license and CDL class A or B with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement - REQUIRED
