The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, support, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple data center and cloud environments. This role serves as a technical resource for server platforms, virtualization infrastructure, storage systems, backup and recovery solutions, enterprise monitoring tools, and core infrastructure services.

The Systems Administrator II provides advanced technical troubleshooting, supports infrastructure projects and implementations, and performs day-to-day operational activities to ensure the availability, reliability, security, and performance of business-critical systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on IT infrastructure experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to support complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, monitor, and optimize enterprise infrastructure systems across on-premises data centers and cloud environments.
• Support and maintain server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and overall infrastructure health to ensure reliable operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Support the implementation, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure systems, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Manage routine system maintenance, patching, updates, and configuration changes in accordance with established IT standards and procedures.
• Support enterprise monitoring solutions to identify potential issues, minimize downtime, and maintain system performance.
• Assist with backup operations, disaster recovery activities, and infrastructure recovery procedures.
• Help maintain the security, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems by following established security policies and best practices.
• Document system configurations, operational procedures, troubleshooting steps, and infrastructure changes.
• Collaborate with IT teams, technical stakeholders, and other departments to support infrastructure initiatives and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, system improvements, and ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical support and guidance for infrastructure-related incidents, service requests, and escalations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Two to three years of experience in an IT role, preferably supporting enterprise infrastructure or systems administration.
• Demonstrated success maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting IT systems.
• Foundational knowledge of server administration, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues in business or enterprise IT environments.
• Understanding of system availability, performance optimization, security practices, and routine infrastructure maintenance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a technical team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting infrastructure across both on-premises data centers and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise virtualization platforms, storage technologies, backup solutions, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with operating system administration, system patching, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes, incident resolution, and change management procedures.
• Exposure to disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and infrastructure security best practices.
  Pay rate range, $45.00/hr to $55.00/hr
