CAD Drafter
Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team and work on projects to support permitting for Telecommunication related projects/clients. CAD Drafters are responsible for drafting telecommunication permits for various municipalities (City, County, State, Private) ensuring compliance with applicable standards and guidelines.
This will be a permanent, full-time position. Benefits include health insurance plan options, paid holidays, vacation, personal, and sick days.
Location: Houston, Texas
Hours: 8 hour shifts – Monday thru Friday
Essential Functions – Including but not limited to the following:
- Preparation of scaled plans, sections, and drawings using AutoCAD
- Gather data from existing drawings, rough sketches, surveys, and/or from general engineering and design information
- Work closely with Drafters and Managers to ensure a coordinated design
- Apply standard drafting/design principles to complete assignments
Skill Set:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting and the latest AutoCAD software version.
- Applicants will be required to demonstrate skills in AutoCAD related activities at time of interview.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Must have dependable transportation
- Basic understanding of reading/interpreting field surveys is a plus
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with AutoCAD Civil3D drafting
- Associates of Applied Science in Computer Aided Drafting and Design and/or AutoCAD Certificate of Completion, preferred
- Telecommunication based Permit Drafting experience, preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skill
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
