Key Responsibilities
- Set up new employee information in CMiC (ERP software)
- Coordinate E-Time access with the IT Manager and Payroll & Benefits Manager
- Maintain employee data updates in Proliant and CMiC, including pay changes
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using Proliant
- Process off-cycle payroll runs (per diem, reimbursements, etc.) as needed
- Ensure completion of all employee termination checklist items
- Manage unemployment claims
- Process garnishments and child support orders
- Reconcile monthly insurance invoices (health, dental, life, short-term disability)
- Stay current on federal, state, and local employment law changes and inform management
- Partner with Payroll & Benefits Manager to improve processes and reduce manual work
- Assist employees with benefits (401k, health & welfare) and payroll-related questions
- Support Annual Benefits Open Enrollment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established procedures
- Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction industry accounting experience or knowledge
- Experience with Proliant payroll software
- Experience with CMiC ERP system
- SHRM certification
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
