Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and drive process improvement projects for improved manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as visual aids, work instructions and standard work procedures.
• Manage new product introductions between engineering, programming, production, quality, planning, and customer service teams.
• Communicate technical issues to customers.
• Audit manufacturing documentation, machine programs and time standards to ensure data accuracy, process repeatability, and product quality.
• Use CAD software to develop models or assemblies for in-process documentation.
• Analyze customer-provided model data using CAD software.
• Maintain part information, methods of manufacturing, and bill of materials in the ERP system.
• Analyze scrap and margin data in the ERP system.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience with Cam software (Solid Works preferred).
• Manufacturing engineering background and strong problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with lean and six sigma methodologies and tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and G.D&T. (ASME Y14.5-2009 standard).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting: approximately 50% of the time.
• Standing: approximately 50% of the time.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, squatting, and moving about the work area.
• Ability to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
• Ability to set up and operate necessary equipment.

Visual Requirements:

• Corrected vision close to 20/20 for effective use of computer screens and reading reports.
