Business Manager – Greensboro, NC (On-site | Full-Time)
GCG Wealth Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Manager to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This full-time, on-site position plays a critical role in supporting a financial advisor or team of advisors by managing back-office operations and ensuring a seamless client experience.
Position Overview:
The Business Manager acts as the operational support for a high-performing financial advisor or advisory team. This role requires a strong understanding of broker/dealer and RIA operations, including account opening procedures, asset movement, and identifying and resolving NIGOs (Not in Good Order items). The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take ownership of key processes and client onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage operational workflows for brokerage and advisory accounts
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
- Coordinate money and security/product movement securely and accurately
- Manage account paperwork, including new account setup and asset transfers
- Identify and resolve NIGOs (Not in Good Order) in a timely manner
- Accurately perform data entry and maintain client records
- Facilitate new client onboarding processes from start to finish
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with and support other internal operations teams
- Demonstrate leadership and ownership over key relationships and workflows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience or strong interest in working in a broker/dealer or RIA environment
- Familiarity with money and security/product movement processes
- Understanding of (or interest in learning) account opening procedures for brokerage and advisory platforms
- High attention to detail and strong data entry skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proactive problem-solver with a growth mindset
- Interest in obtaining Series 7 license (a plus)
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week at our Greensboro officeement or financial services is a plus
