We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Project Manager to join our Fort Myers, Florida office and lead our projects and team with excellence.
What to Expect
As a Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading construction projects from inception to completion. Your scope includes project planning, budgeting, scheduling, negotiating, contract writing, and coordinating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. From both the field and office, you will monitor project performance, optimize systems, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and address any issues that arise during the construction process.
What You'll Do
- Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s culture, vision, and ethics.
- Represent GCG in developing new business and strengthening client relationships.
- Collaborate and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Consistently maintain a safe and compliant jobsite through proactive oversight on a daily basis.
- Identify new project leads, prepare precise estimates, and maintain a healthy pipeline of work.
- Continuous and effective communication with all project stakeholders.
- Maintains schedule accuracy through support of superintendents and subcontractors.
- Manages budget and financial reporting throughout the project.
- Ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with contract and design.
What You'll Bring
- 5 years of experience as a Commercial Project Manager with a Commercial General Contractor.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
- Commitment to consistently delivering superior customer service and professionalism.
- Ability to read and interpret all contract documents, plans, specifications, and requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively lead all project stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing with minimal guidance.
- Critical thinker with a deep-seated, proactive, solutions-oriented approach, and a passion for continuous improvement.
