Job Title: CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH / HOSPICE AIDE
Pay: $20-$25 Per Hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Orange County, CA
Schedule: 13‑week assignment
Travel: Local travel required; mileage reimbursed per client policy
Training: Equipment provided during orientation/training
Job Duties:
The Certified Home Health/Hospice Aide (CHHA) works under the supervision of an RN or therapist, providing personal care services to support patient comfort and independence. The CHHA documents patient observations, reports changes promptly, and supports continuity and safety in patient care.
Required Skills:
- Experience providing personal care in Home Health and/or Hospice
- Ability to work independently in the field and maintain professionalism in patient homes
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Demonstrated competency with equipment and technology used for patient care
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Must demonstrate empathy, calm demeanor, and comfort supporting the terminally ill
- Hospice-specific training requirement:
- Minimum 75 hours classroom & supervised practical training
- 16 hours classroom 16 hours mandatory practical training minimum
- Required Certifications & Licensure:
Active Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in California – in good standing - Current BLS
- Registered on the Home Care Aide Registry (CA DSS – Home Care Services Bureau)
- Valid driver’s license insured, reliable vehicle.
Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Required Education:
- RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.

- Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs
- Occasional lifting/pulling up to 50 lbs
- Repetitive hand use, visual and hearing acuity
