Role Description The Inside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Norcross, GA. This role involves managing inbound and outbound calls, qualifying leads, and proactively identifying sales opportunities within assigned territories or accounts. The Inside Sales Representative serves as the primary support resource for our outside sales team while delivering outstanding customer service. This individual will assist with quotations, product recommendations, order management, project follow-up, and day-to-day sales activities to help grow market share across our represented product lines.
Responsibilities
- Support outside sales representatives with quotations, pricing, and project opportunities.
- Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
- Build strong relationships with distributor inside sales personnel, purchasing agents, contractors, OEMs, and end users.
- Assist customers with product selection, specifications, substitutions, and technical questions.
- Coordinate with manufacturer customer service teams regarding pricing, lead times, product availability, and order status.
- Track projects from bid through completion using CRM and project management tools.
- Process sample requests, literature requests, and customer documentation.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across GCD Sales' represented manufacturers.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and project information.
- Work closely with manufacturers to stay current on new products, pricing, and promotions.
- Participate in product training sessions and manufacturer meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining prompt response times.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in electrical distribution, manufacturing, contractor sales, or industrial sales preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical products and construction markets is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with CRM software is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
