What are the responsibilities and job description for the QUALITY AND SYSTEMS ANALYST position at GCC?
What you will do:
Creating and executing quality control plans and standard operating procedures to ensure products, systems, and services meet standards. Helping to maximize operational efficiencies that result in enhanced earnings.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Create and implement test plans and test cases to evaluate product quality and performance.
2. Find, document, and report defects, bugs, and other issues to management team and equipment suppliers.
3. Work closely with suppliers (internal and external) to analyze problems and ensure they are fixed correctly and quickly.
4. Conduct different types of tests such as functionality and performance to ensure software and systems meet requirements.
5. Track quality and performance metrics to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
6. Keep testing and performance documentation and reports up to date.
7. Maintain equipment with most recent software and hardware updates.
8. Implement policies and procedures established by corporate and regional management.
9. Train and coach personnel on safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
10. Communicate with customer service team regarding equipment utilization, equipment readiness and capacity capabilities. Works with customer service manager to train in functionality and use of batching system.
11. Communicate with maintenance department to ensure equipment readiness and meet production projections. Provide input to maintenance team regarding equipment condition, operator neglect, and required repairs.
12. Conduct product knowledge training for quality control departments to improve product knowledge.

Leadership skills: Ability to motivate employees to achieve common goals, including functional support within the district. Strong commitment to safety & environment, quality, customer service, and plant cleanliness.
Financial planning skills: Strong organizational and budgeting skills. Coordination with ready mix production manager in making key maintenance and investment recommendations.
Interpersonal skills: Ability to resolve performance issues and conflicts. Must be able to manage an empowered workforce, lead by example, and be an effective coach.
Communication skills: Ability to communicate performance expectations and work assignments to employees and to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Experience and abilities you will need:Required:
- Required: 5 years’ experience in ready mix industry or bachelor’s degree in related construction field
- Required: Continuing education towards ACI (American Concrete Institute) level II certification
- Possess strong management, interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills.
- Able to interact and clearly communicate with all levels of the company, customers, vendors, and support agencies.
- Degree or additional training/education
- Understanding of plants and equipment used in the ready-mix concrete business
