Role Overview:

At GC Security Design, the Physical Security Project Manager (PM) is pivotal in delivering

comprehensive security solutions. The PM oversees the planning, execution, and completion of

Projects involving CCTV systems, access control, data networking, intercom systems, and

related technologies. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope and

budget, and adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance. The PM serves as the

primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation

● Engage with clients to understand their security needs and define project objectives,

scope, and deliverables.

● Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and

budgets, tailored to each client's requirements.

● Conduct thorough site evaluations to identify security risks and project-specific needs.

● Select and coordinate with subcontractors or vendors as necessary, ensuring alignment with

project goals.


Execution and Monitoring

● Supervise the installation of security systems such as CCTV, access control, data

networking, and intercom systems, ensuring integration and functionality.

● Track Project progress against plans, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

● Conduct status meetings with team members and stakeholders to review performance and

address any issues.

● Ensure all Project phases are well-documented, including change requests and approvals.


Team and Resource Management

● Delegate tasks to technicians, subcontractors, and team members based on expertise and

Project needs.

● Provide guidance to the Project team, fostering effective collaboration and problem-

solving.

● Procure necessary materials and equipment promptly.


Quality Control and Compliance

● Ensure all installations meet safety, quality, and industry standards, reflecting GC Security

Design's commitment to excellence.

● Confirm that Projects comply with client specifications, codes, and regulatory

requirements.

● Conduct inspections and testing to verify proper functionality and integration of security

systems.


Risk and Issue Management

● Recognize potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

● Address Project-related conflicts and challenges promptly and effectively.

● Communicate critical issues to senior management as necessary.

Client and Stakeholder Communication

● Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.

● Maintain clear communication to ensure client satisfaction and trust.

● Provide clients with necessary documentation, including handover reports, user manuals,

and warranties upon Project completion.

Project Closure

● Conduct walkthroughs to verify Project completion and system functionality.

● Facilitate training sessions for client personnel on system usage and maintenance.

● Analyze Project outcomes, document lessons learned and prepare final reports.

● With senior management, establish/finalize contracts with vendors and subcontractors,

ensuring all obligations are fulfilled.

Skills and Qualifications:

● In-depth knowledge of physical security systems and technologies, including CCTV, access

control, data networking, and intercom systems.

● Proven experience managing security or construction Projects, with a track record of

successful completions.

● Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

● Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and interact with

clients.

● Proficiency in Project management tools and software.

● Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and compliance requirements in the security

industry.

● Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans accurately.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

● Percentage of projects completed on time, within scope, and budget.

● Feedback and satisfaction ratings from clients.

● Number of quality issues identified and resolved during the Project lifecycle.

● Degree of adherence to safety and compliance standards.

● Achieving target profit margin on each Project.

● Effectiveness in resource allocation and utilization.

Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM):

● The CSPM, offered by the Security Industry Association (SIA), certifies expertise in

managing technical security Projects. It requires 6,000 hours of Project management

experience, with at least 3,000 in security-specific roles. The certification covers all phases

of Project management, including planning, execution, and closure. Maintaining the CSPM

requires ongoing professional development.

Project Management Professional (PMP):

● The PMP, offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI), is a globally recognized

certification for Project managers across industries. Eligibility depends on education and

experience, requiring either 36 or 60 months of Project leadership and 35 hours of training.

The exam evaluates knowledge of people, processes, and the business environment.

Certification maintenance requires earning 60 PDUs every three years.


Pay range $80k to $145k

Salary : $80,000 - $145,000
