GC Multifamily is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily maintenance operations at one of our apartment communities. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing exceptional service to our residents.
As a maintenance technician on-site, you'll play a critical role in keeping our community safe, clean, and operating efficiently while creating a positive living experience for our residents.
What You'll Do
- Complete service requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and community amenities.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and quality inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, windows, locks, drywall, flooring, and other building components.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the property, including grounds, breezeways, and common areas.
- Perform pool maintenance (where applicable) and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation.
- Order, organize, and maintain maintenance inventory and supplies.
- Work closely with the Community Manager to prioritize work orders and property needs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and local codes.
- Build positive relationships with residents by providing excellent customer service.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
- General knowledge of:
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Appliance repair
- Carpentry
- Drywall and painting
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, work outdoors, and perform physically demanding tasks.
