GC Multifamily is seeking a motivated Jr Maintenance Technician to join our team at an A Class community. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering top-tier apartment homes and wants to grow their maintenance career in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview
The Junior Maintenance Technician will primarily focus on make-ready (turn) units, ensuring each apartment is move-in ready to the highest standards. When not completing turns, this role will assist with general maintenance, grounds, and service requests to support overall property operations.
Key Responsibilities
Make-Ready / Unit Turns (Primary Focus)
- Prepare vacant units for new residents with strong attention to detail
- Complete tasks including painting, cleaning, minor repairs, and final inspections
- Ensure all units meet Class A standards for quality and presentation
- Identify and report any larger repair needs prior to move-in
- Work closely with the leasing team to meet move-in deadlines
General Maintenance Support
- Assist with service requests (plumbing, electrical, HVAC support as needed)
- Support preventative maintenance programs
- Help maintain curb appeal, including grounds and common areas
- Assist with inspections and property walks
- Participate in emergency maintenance rotation if applicable
Qualifications
- 1 year of maintenance, make-ready, or related experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and basic tools required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
