The Information Technology (IT) Repair Technician Summer Support job was established to provide basic Chromebook cleanup and repair services.
This job reports to the Information Technology Site Support Manager.
Essential Functions
- Inspect, test, clean/disinfect, and perform other required tasks on each Chromebook according to an established protocol.
- Participate in required training programs.
- Handle materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide support to the repair team on an as-needed basis or during peak work periods.
- Help with receiving and inventorying devices
- Create tickets and evaluate devices submitted for repair
- Perform repairs and document in ticketing system
- Help keep repair parts inventory and stock items as needed
- Help with preparation in retuning devices back to customers
- Ensure that the policies and procedures are consistently followed.
- Maintain accurate documentation on the status of each job.
- Performs other basic duties as requested or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education Required:
Some technical school education.
Experience Required:
- Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal skills; ability to foster teamwork.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is preferred.
