Creative Videographer and Editor
Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia (on-site)
Employment type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 annually, based on relevant experience and demonstrated ability
GBRS Group is seeking a videographer and editor to join our in-house creative team. This role will support both the production and post-production sides of the company’s content, including filming, editing, and delivering finished video assets that reflect the GBRS Group brand.
This position requires technical ability, sound creative judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver finished work under a deadline.

Step 1: Download the editing assets

Download the raw video assets and accompanying creative brief. The files are being provided exclusively for this application exercise and may not be published, distributed, shared, or used for any other purpose.
Step 2: Produce the video
Using only the materials provided, create one completed video that you believe is appropriate for the GBRS Group brand.
Submission requirements:
- Final runtime: [45–60 seconds]
- Format: [16:9 horizontal / 9:16 vertical]
- Resolution: Minimum 1080p
- File type: MP4
- Codec: H.264
- Maximum file size: [SIZE]
- Music and additional assets must be properly licensed or royalty-free
- The submission must be a finished edit, not a rough cut
- Applicants may make their own decisions regarding pacing, music, sound design, color, titles, and story structure
- Do not add outside footage unless the creative brief specifically permits it
Creative judgment will be evaluated alongside technical execution. We are looking for applicants who can interpret the available material and produce something that feels appropriate for GBRS Group without being given a frame-by-frame formula.
Step 3: Submit the application

The email must contain all of the following:
- Resume attached as a PDF
- Link to the completed video
- Portfolio or reel link, if available
- Full name
- Phone number
- Current city and state
- Brief description of the applicant’s role in any portfolio projects submitted

Step 4: Confirm access
Before submitting, applicants must open their video link in a private or incognito browser window and verify that it plays without requesting access.
Links requiring GBRS Group to request permission will be treated as incomplete submissions.
Deadline
Applications and completed videos must be received by:

Important Submission Notice
Applicants must follow all instructions exactly.
An application will not be considered if:
- It is sent to a different email address
- The required subject line is incorrect
- The submission is received after the deadline
- The resume is missing or submitted in the wrong format
- The video link does not open or requires access approval
- The video cannot be played or downloaded
- The requested video specifications are not followed
- Any provided GBRS Group assets are shared or published
- Any other required application element is missing
Due to the anticipated number of applicants, GBRS Group will not contact individuals to correct missing materials, request access to locked files, or resolve submission errors.
Rights and Use of Submissions
The editing exercise is being used solely to evaluate applicants. GBRS Group will not publish, distribute, advertise with, or otherwise commercially use an applicant’s submitted edit without entering into a separate written agreement with that applicant. Applicants retain ownership of their original edit, excluding the underlying materials and intellectual property provided by GBRS Group.
