GBE Deliveries is currently hiring 2–3 experienced movers to join our growing team. We are looking for skilled, professional individuals who take pride in their work and represent the company at a high level.

Work Location

• Castro Valley, CA (local jobs surrounding Bay Area)

POSITION TYPE – READ CAREFULLY (ON-CALL REQUIRED)

This is currently an ON-CALL POSITION.

• Must be available to work on any given day with short notice (1–2 hours)
• Jobs are assigned as work comes in
• Looking for individuals available to start ASAP

Because this is on-call:

• You MUST have reliable transportation
• You should live close to Castro Valley
• You must be able to arrive quickly when called (preferably within 30 minutes)

As the company continues to grow and more jobs are consistently scheduled, this position can transition into:

• Full-time schedule (5 days/week)
• Guaranteed 40 hours/week
• Overtime available

Type of Work (READ CAREFULLY)

This is NOT strictly a moving-only position.

Applicants must be comfortable performing a mix of:

• Moving jobs (majority of work)
• Junk removal / clean-outs
• Furniture & appliance delivery services

You must be flexible and willing to do all three types of work

Crew Size Will Vary:

• Some jobs may require working alone (1 person)
• Other jobs may involve teams of 2–4 movers for larger moves
• Ability to adapt to both independent and team-based work is required

Requirements (MUST HAVE – NO EXCEPTIONS)

• 3–5 years of experience working with a professional moving company
• Verifiable references from previous moving employers (required)
• Experience driving a box truck
• Valid California Class C driver’s license (clean driving record required)

Core Skills Required:

• Expert in wrapping furniture using moving pads, shrink wrap, and cardboard protection
• Ability to properly protect glass, edges, and delicate surfaces
• Skilled in packing and boxing customer belongings, including:
• Dishes and kitchenware

• Clothing and personal items
• Fragile and household items

• Ability to disassemble and reassemble furniture
• Strong understanding of loading/unloading techniques
• Ability to safely handle and move heavy appliances, including up and down stairs
• Must demonstrate care, efficiency, and attention to detail when handling customer property

Additional Preferred Skills:

• At least one team member must be highly skilled in truck loading (maximizing space efficiently)
• Experience conducting item inventory for long-distance moves(ensuring all items are accounted for at pickup and delivery)

Pay & Employment Details

• $30/hour (labor time)
• $15/hour (drive time / dead time)
• Tips (customer-based, can be significant)

Payment Options (Temporary – While Position is On-Call):

• Option 1: Daily cash pay (same day)
• Option 2: W-2 employment paid every 2 weeks

Once transitioned into a full-time schedule:

• All employees will be W-2
• 40 hours/week guaranteed (5 days/week)
• Overtime available

Ubicación de Trabajo

• Castro Valley, CA (trabajos locales y alrededores del Área de la Bahía)

TIPO DE POSICIÓN – LEA CUIDADOSAMENTE (ON-CALL REQUERIDO)

Esta es una posición ON-CALL (bajo llamada).

• Debe estar disponible para trabajar cualquier día con aviso corto (1–2 horas)
• El trabajo se asigna según vayan entrando los trabajos
• Buscamos personas que puedan empezar de inmediato

Debido a que es on-call:

• Debe tener transporte confiable
• Debe vivir cerca de Castro Valley

El tamaño del equipo varía:

• Debe poder trabajar solo o en equipo

Requisitos (OBLIGATORIOS – SIN EXCEPCIONES)

• 3–5 años de experiencia trabajando en una compañía de mudanzas
• Referencias verificables de trabajos anteriores (obligatorio)
• Experiencia manejando box truck
• Licencia de conducir Clase C válida (récord limpio requerido)

Habilidades requeridas:

• Experiencia envolviendo muebles con:
• Moving pads (cobijas)

• Shrink wrap
• Cartón protector

• Saber proteger vidrio, esquinas y superficies delicadas
• Experiencia empacando pertenencias de clientes, incluyendo:
• Trastes y cocina

• Ropa
• Artículos frágiles y del hogar

• Saber desarmar y armar muebles
• Conocimiento en carga y descarga eficiente
• Capacidad para manejar electrodomésticos pesados, incluyendo subir y bajar escaleras
• Trabajar con cuidado, eficiencia y atención al detalle

Habilidades adicionales (preferidas):

• Al menos un miembro con experiencia avanzada en cargar el camión eficientemente (maximizar espacio)
• Experiencia en inventario para mudanzas de larga distancia

Pago y Detalles de Empleo

• $30 por hora (trabajo físico)
• $15 por hora (tiempo de manejo / tiempo muerto)
• Propinas (pueden ser significativas)

Opciones de Pago (Temporal mientras es on-call):

• Opción 1: Pago en efectivo el mismo día
• Opción 2: Empleado W-2 con pago cada 2 semanas

Cuando la posición pase a tiempo completo:

• Todos serán empleados W-2
• 40 horas garantizadas por semana (5 días)
• Horas extras disponibles
