GBA is seeking a Wastewater Collection & Treatment Group Lead to provide leadership across our wastewater treatment practice, supporting project delivery, technical excellence, team development, and strategic growth.
Our Water Environment teams’ partner with municipalities and public utilities to improve wastewater treatment systems, modernize aging infrastructure, and help communities address long-term environmental and regulatory challenges.
This role combines people leadership, operational oversight, technical guidance, and client relationship management. If you enjoy building strong teams, mentoring engineers, guiding complex projects, and helping shape market growth, this role provides the opportunity to do all those things.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and support wastewater treatment teams across project delivery, staffing, and technical execution
- Provide oversight and direction for complex wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects
- Support project managers and technical leaders in scope, schedule, quality, and client management
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, supporting career growth and technical development
- Partner with market and operations leadership on resource planning, workload balancing, and team growth
- Build and strengthen relationships with municipal clients, utility leaders, and industry partners
- Support business development efforts, including client engagement, strategic pursuits, and proposal development
- Help drive consistency in engineering standards, project delivery practices, and quality expectations
- Collaborate across offices and disciplines to support integrated project delivery and market growth
- Contribute to strategic planning, operational improvement initiatives, and long-term practice development.

- Have significant experience in wastewater treatment and municipal infrastructure projects
- Enjoy leading teams and mentoring engineers and project managers
- Understand both technical project delivery and operational leadership responsibilities

- Think strategically about staffing, project execution, and long-term market growth
- Are comfortable balancing leadership, client engagement, and technical oversight

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk project sites for prolonged periods.
- Potential need to be able to travel to job sites occasionally (minimum once per month).
