You'll work alongside a highly specialized team of bridge engineers and contribute to impactful projects across Texas.
What You'll Do
As a Bridge Inspection (Diver) Engineer Team Lead, you'll:
- Serve as Inspection Diver/Team Leader on underwater inspection projects (bridges and waterfront structures).
- Serve as Team Member on routine and fracture-critical bridge inspection projects.
- Develop detailed inspection reports.
- Apply structural engineering concepts to a wide range of bridge inspection and design projects.
- Produce load rating calculations.
- Travel as needed to support inspection assignments.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- EIT certification required; PE preferred.
- 2 years of experience in bridge inspection and/or bridge design.
- 2 years of dive experience with commercial diver certification (ADCI).
- Experience with structural analysis and bridge design software preferred (e.g., BrR, BrD, Conspan, RCPier, PG Super, Merlin, STAAD, RISA).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to live in, commute to, or relocate to Round Rock, TX.
- Ability to travel.
- Completion of NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course (preferred).
- Completion of NHI Underwater Bridge Inspection course (preferred).
