Entry Level Civil Engineer Civil/Site Development
The Civil/Site Development Group at GBA is looking for an entry level civil engineer to join our team at our office in Austin, Texas. The Civil/Site team provides site design and construction documents for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential developments including mixed use, office, retail, multi and single family residential, warehouse/distribution, medical, and recreational facilities.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the design and preparation of site engineering plans to include site plan layouts, site grading, storm drainage, water, utility, street and sanitary sewer design, and erosion control plans
· Assist in coordination with project team, utility providers, contractors, and permitting authorities.
· Perform design task required for effective and efficient delivery under the direction of senior engineer
· Preparation of construction drawings and permit submittals
· Assist with the collection and analysis of field data
· Prepare and maintain technical reports
Requirements:
· BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent
· 0-2 years of experience; previous internships for land/site development a plus
· Adept at working on fast-paced projects
· Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, Bluebeam and Microsoft Word and Excel software preferred
· Possess effective communication skills, both written and oral
· Self-motivated
· Must be able to work effectively both on a team and individually
