What are the responsibilities and job description for the Task Force Hotel General Manager position at GB EMPLOYMENT LLC?
The General Manager position will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel level.
You will direct and coordinate hotel activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize full potential with a balanced focus on the hotel’s mission, guests, employees, and owners’ satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Delivering outstanding service to guests and leading others by example
o With the support of the Corporate Operations Team, develop service guidelines and ensure practices that are seamlessly executed
o Build an inspired, collaborative, masterful hospitality-minded team
o Monitor and track departmental operations performance
o Take the lead in ensuring a “guests first” approach
o Monitor and manage staffing to optimize guest satisfaction while balancing within budget. The General Manager will be responsible for approving payroll and reviewing and providing reasoning reporting for the month-end closing process. Experience with M3 accounting software is preferred but not required.
o Serve as a mentor and develop relationships with Assistant General Manager, Sales, and hotel staff to support their growth, while simultaneously being a dedicated to personal growth, taking in all there is to learn for your own professional development
o Participate in and carry out additional tasks as assigned by Ownership and Corporate Office
REQUIREMENTS
o Thorough knowledge of all aspects of hotel operations
o Strong people and time management skills
o Ability to assign or delegate work and authority to others
o A degree in hotel management or a related field or the equivalent of two years of experience in the hotel industry
o Marriott Brand experience is strongly preferred but not required
