We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system installations.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system work on various industrial equipment and machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within complex electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance on industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control panels, and motor controls.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local regulations while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, contributing your expertise in framing carpentry or handyman tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Extensive experience working with industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and troubleshooting complex circuits.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 standards, NEC codes, and local electrical regulations.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for accurate installation and repair work.
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Ability to perform high-voltage work safely while following all electrical safety procedures.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in renovation projects or new construction environments; frame carpentry or handyman skills are a plus.
