Company Description
We are a modern, full-scope, privately owned independent optometry practice located just outside of Boston. We are seeking to add a compassionate and dedicated optometrist to our growing team whose essential functions will include primary and emergency medical-based optometry, ocular disease diagnoses/management, pre and postoperative care for patients undergoing refractive surgery, and fitting and prescribing contacts and glasses. We have a loyal and growing patient base that appreciates how we care for people and could use another doctor. We are hoping to be able to add additional available days over time as our schedule permits.
Role Description This full-time, on-site Optometrist role is based in Watertown, MA and involves providing comprehensive eye care services to patients in a clinical setting affiliated with MCPHS. The Optometrist will perform routine and specialized eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and therapeutic treatments. Responsibilities include documenting findings in patient records, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring adherence to clinical and institutional protocols. The Optometrist may also participate in patient education, mentoring students or residents, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- State licensure in MA
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care
- Excellent communication skills
