Job Summary: Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate and culturally competent patient care, ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusivity in all aspects of nursing practice. Participate in developing care plans, administering treatments, and educating patients and support persons. They work collaboratively with healthcare teams to promote patient well-being and optimal recovery.
Qualifications:*Current CT LPN License required
*Patient care/Healthcare experience preferred but not required
*American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required
WORK SCHEDULE: 24 hours, nights, (11:15 pm-7:15 am) including rotating weekends and holidays
Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:
Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes:
- Continuous telemetry monitoring
- Ventilator support and weaning
- LVAD patient population
- Heart Transplant population
Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as:
- Stroke
- Complex wounds
- Telemetry
- Pulmonary care
Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population:
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Stroke
- Spinal cord Injury
