We are seeking an Associate to join our Capital Markets team in Los Angeles. This individual will play a key role in supporting all aspects of capital formation, investor engagement, and client service. The position offers significant visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to develop into a client-facing role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Formation & Investor Engagement
- Support ongoing and prospective capital raising efforts for global commingled funds, co-investment platforms, and separate accounts across real estate and real asset strategies.
- Manage day-to-day project flow across multiple fundraising initiatives — including pipeline tracking, data room management, due diligence coordination, and internal process oversight.
- Prepare and maintain investor marketing materials such as pitch decks, PPMs, fact sheets, case studies, and portfolio updates.
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence responses (RFPs, DDQs, RFIs, investor questionnaires) in collaboration with legal, compliance, and finance teams.
- Assist in the organization and execution of investor roadshows, meetings, and events — including preparing briefing memos, meeting notes, and follow-up materials.
- Serve as a key internal liaison between the Capital Markets, investment, finance, and operations teams to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality deliverables.
Client Relationship Management
- Support senior team members in managing relationships with institutional investors, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Draft and distribute investor updates, quarterly communications, and portfolio analytics materials.
- Maintain the firm’s Juniper Square CRM and virtual data room system to track engagement, manage pipelines, and ensure accurate reporting of activity.
- Provide timely, thoughtful responses to investor requests and coordinate ad-hoc deliverables with internal teams.
- Contribute to investor onboarding processes, including KYC/AML documentation and subscription management.
Market Research & Strategic Initiatives
- Conduct research on market trends, competitor positioning, and investor allocation preferences to inform fundraising strategy and product development.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives to enhance client service, investor experience, and fundraising efficiency.
- Assist in developing insights and thought leadership materials highlighting firm strategy, market perspectives, and sector themes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or related field; strong academic performance required.
- 2–4 years of experience in private equity real estate, investment management, placement advisory, or investment banking; experience with institutional capital raising or investor relations preferred.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with comfort interpreting fund-level models, track records, and performance analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive, professional investor materials.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive — able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Juniper Square and data room platforms a plus.
- Ability to leverage AI tools such as Claude, CoPilot or others effectively for enhanced workflows.
- Professional demeanor with a high degree of intellectual curiosity, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Candidates with less relevant experience will be considered for Analyst role.
