SCHEDULE: SATURDAY & SUNDAY 8AM-4:30PM
Job Title: Admissions Addiction Recovery Nurse
Reports to: Nursing Director
SUMMARY: Seeking an experienced Admission RN. We are a 32 bed detoxification facility located in Quincy, MA. We are seeking an RN who can work in a fast-paced environment. Who can make clear decisions, possess strong communication skills, strong assessment skills and possess excellent documentation skills. Applicant my able to communicate with Multidisciplinary Team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess each patient’s individual needs on the basis of assessment and data collection to ensure proper admission.
Implement doctor’s orders, administer specified medication, monitor and record vital signs, and maintain medical/ nursing records.
Utilize EHR effectively and efficiently.
Direct duties of Treatment Assistants.
Observe patients and document their responses to treatment.
Communicate with counseling staff on a regular basis regarding patient’s progress and treatment plans.
Discharge patients in accordance with established policy.
Carry out administrative procedures in compliance with program policies.
Serve as role model.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of utilization reviews.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong patient assessment skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Nursing degree from an accredited institution
Valid MA unrestricted RN license
2 years’ experience, preferably in a detox setting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid MA Registered Nurse license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
To sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is that of a detoxification facility for substance-abusing populations.
Exposure to clients infected with Hepatitis B, HIV, TB, or other Infectious Diseases
Business-related travel
