Position Summary
The Proposal Specialist is responsible for coordinating and preparing Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), interview presentations, marketing materials, and business development collateral. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and firm leadership, you'll help produce compelling, compliant, and visually polished proposals that communicate G&D's expertise and commitment to exceptional client service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate SOQ, RFQ, and RFP submissions.
- Develop proposal schedules and compliance matrices.
- Coordinate proposal kickoff meetings and submission deadlines.
- Write, edit, proofread, and format technical and marketing content.
- Maintain project descriptions, staff resumes, and proposal library content.
- Assist with interview presentations and marketing materials.
- Coordinate graphics, photography, and page layout using Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office.
- Support continuous improvement of proposal processes, templates, and marketing resources.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3 - 5 years of proposal experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry preferred.
- Excellent technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
- Experience preparing proposals for engineering consulting firms, municipal clients, or utility agencies is highly desirable.
Work Arrangement
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. Typical hours are expected to range from approximately 20 to 30 hours per week, depending on proposal workload. Hybrid and remote work arrangements will be considered for highly qualified candidates.
