Painter – Manufacturing
We are seeking a detail-oriented Painter with 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment to support surface preparation and coating applications for industrial electrical products. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes that meet company standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking
- Apply coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings to required specifications
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, thickness, and consistency
- Follow work orders, drawings, and production schedules
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials or finishes
- Support continuous improvement efforts in quality and efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing painting
- Experience with spray painting equipment
- Understanding of surface preparation techniques and coating applications
- Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions or drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience painting large industrial components or enclosures
- Knowledge of coating thickness measurement tools (mil gauges)
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and hazardous materials handling
