Pizza Cook

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook/ Pizza Maker to join our team at Gauci's Pizzeria & Pub. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals and ensuring food safety in the restaurant. We take great pride in our homemade dough, delicious smash burgers and so much more!

We are located in a golf course clubhouse with a beautiful view which you will have the opportunity to golf daily if you choose complimentary with your employment. We also offer snow tubing and sledding during the winter taking great advantage of the rolling hills and fun environment. Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus and create new dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe handling of food
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the dietary department for necessary supplies
- Assist with training and mentoring new kitchen staff members

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant, pizzeria or culinary setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills
- Familiarity with menu planning and creating balanced meals
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
