We're a locally owned glass company dedicated to delivering exceptional custom glass solutions to builders and homeowners throughout the valley. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Glazier and Shop Hand to join our growing team in this exciting float position that combines shop operations with hands-on field experience.
What You'll Do:
Shop Responsibilities:
- Quality control incoming glass shipments - inspecting for defects, verifying measurements, and ensuring materials meet our high standards
- Organize and stage glass by job for efficient installation workflows
- Assist with inventory management and warehouse organization
- Support installation crews with material prep and tool organization
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment
- General shop duties as needed to keep operations running smoothly
Field Experience with Lead Glaziers:
- Assist experienced glaziers on commercial and residential installation projects
- Learn proper glass handling and installation techniques
- Support job site setup, material transport, and tool management
- Gain hands-on experience with various glazing systems and applications
- Participate in measuring, templating, and installation processes
- Develop customer service skills through job site interactions
What We're Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to handle large glass panels safely (comprehensive training provided)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in both workshop and job site environments
- Eagerness to learn the glazing trade and advance skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at various heights
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience with glass, construction materials, or trades preferred but not required
